Adventure: Exploring the golden era of 70ies symphonic hard prog.
Adventure - Tales Of Belle, Part 1.Across The Ocean

Belle Gunness is one of America’s most famous female serial killers. Belle Gunness left Selbu in 1881 and settled in Chicago, USA. In 1900 she is said to have killed her first husband. Composing her life and crimes sounds like a very good idea. On the album Tales Of Belle, Part 1.Across The Ocean Adventure give a musical insight in this. The new album is the fifth from this band, and the self-titled debut came in 2000.
Adventure is well known for exploring the golden era of 70ies symphonic hard rock, mixing in proggy and folky elements. And on the album Tales Of Belle, Part 1.Across The Ocean Adventure do this with finesse and in a very intriguing way. The sound is filled with Hammond organ and multipart vocals and solid guitar work. As the music motor the bass and drums are very solid and good.
Adventure Founded in Trondheim, Norway in 1996. Adventure is the brainchild of the Norwegian multi-instrumentalist Odd Roae Bakken who had 23 years of experience in rock bands playing guitar, mandolins and vocals in groups as Tammatoys and Nordagust until 1990 when he meets Nils Larsen (Bass) and Torkel Aune (drums) and a little bit later the talented guitar player Terje Flessen. They start working together each time getting closer to the symphonic sound they pretended to reach.
