10000 Years is very long time, but also a band name. 10,000 Years are releasing their new album III on June 24th supported by Interstellar Smoke Records. 10000 Years is crushing stonermetal from Västerås, Sweden.
2021 saw 10,000 Years lay waste to the underground world of heavy music with their debut full length album II. Now, barely a year later, they return with the conclusion to their epic trilogy.
Continuing with numbered titles, the new album is called III and concludes 10,000 Years conceptual exploration of mind-bending sci-fi by way of absolutely face melting stoner metal that will bring you to your knees in heavy worship.
Says bassist/vocalist Alex Risberg: ““III” feels like a continuation from what we’ve done before, a natural evolution of the sound of the band. We’ve expanded on the things we felt worked best the last time around, like the thrashy High On Fire-stuff and the more epic songstructures, all the while maintaining what this band is all about.”
Recording once again took place in the legendary Studio Sunlight with the equally legendary Tomas Skogsberg manning the controls.
The album will be released on vinyl by underground heavyweights Interstellar Smoke Records with a CD and digital coming from Death Valley Records as well as a limited edition cassette tape from Olde Magick Records.

The story on III
As the crew of the Albatross make efforts to repair the ship and prepares to take it out into orbit in order to travel back through the rift in the space-time continuum in an attempt to seal it and restore earth to what it was, the Green King mobilizes his unholy forces to stop them from erasing the latest addidtion to his interdimensional imperium from existence.
Through unspeakable trials and tribulations, the remaining crew manages to narrowly escape the Green Kings wrath and finally take the Albatross back into space. After piloting the damaged ship out of the atmosphere and back to the point of the tear, they take it through the rift once more.
As they once again travel to suns beyond for the fate and future of humanity, they face the terrible uncertainty of oblivion and a destiny unknown…
