Wolf: Balances harrowing, sky-piercing vocal performances with rollicking guitars and power-punching drum beats.
Wolf - Shadowland

Swedish heavy metal legends Wolf recently announced the release of their new album Shadowland released April 1st via Century Media Records. Wolf is from Ørebro and was founded in 1995! The band just dropped their first single and music video for Dust off Shadowland.
Video directed, filmed and edited by Daniel Wahlstroem at Heavy Groove Media.
Lyrics:
The universe is going cold and so am I
What little sanity I had has slipped my mind
Hear these words
And ode for the damned
From the sorry second, we were born we’re born to die
The hook you swallowed pulls you to the other side
So, hear these words
An ode for the damned
Realize we are but dust
Realize we are but dust
Just dust on a speck of dust
In a godforsaken galaxy so far away
The watchmaker has left the scene and thrown away his work
And a chilling wind is bringing in the singularity
There will be nothing to remember and no one left to care
Realize we are but dust
Realize we are but dust
Just dust on a speck of dust
Just dust on a speck of dust
The new full-length is the band’s 9th studio album and the follow up to their 2020 release, Feeding The Machine. Revered by fans for invoking the untamed bravado of bands like Iron Maiden and Mercyful Fate, the group balances harrowing, sky-piercing vocal performances with rollicking guitars and power-punching drum beats on Shadowland. Let me know if you would be interested in setting something up!
The two themes of Shadowland are that humans as an insignificant parenthesis in the history of a universe. The other theme is the darker side of humankind that I think we all have to a varying degree. The shadow self if you will. It’s there – better face it than pretend that it’s not. The band have toured with Saxon, Evile, Tankard, Trivium.
They have been featured on Blabbermouth, Angry Metal Guy, Metal Underground, BraveWords, New Noise, Ghost Cult, and more.
Wolf recently announced their return with a new studio album entitled Shadowland last month! The album is set to be released through Century Media on April 1st. It is their 9th studio effort and the follow-up to their 2020 release Feeding The Machine.
Wolf vocalist and guitarist Niklas Stalvind states, «This is the opening track of our new album Shadowland. Classic up-tempo Wolf metal, heavy and melodic. We hope you enjoy this one, because there’s more where that came from. Cheers!».
The artwork was once again handled by the one and only Thomas Holm (Mercyful Fate, King Diamond).
Line-up:
Niklas Stalvind (vocals, guitar), Simon Johansson (guitar), Pontus Egberg (bass) and Johan Koleberg (drums).
