Stellar Death: Explore new musical landscapes that aim to create a unique mood and narrative for each song.

Stellar Death is an effort to explore new musical landscapes that aim to create a unique mood and narrative for each song, while developing varied sonic textures within and across each track. Our ambition is to routinely release new material to provide listeners with frequent and differing examples of our musical inspiration at that time.

Stellar Death is an instrumental music project created by Scott Loose and Matt Kozar. The project name and initial music are inspired by astronomical/space themes.

Bravemusic presents a new instrumental EP entitled Sentient (Chapter 1) by Washington, DC-based Stellar Death.  This EP is the first part of a series of recordings that will ultimately culminate into a collection of songs based on a thematic exploration of consciousness within the universe.

Sentient (Chapter 1) showcases aggressive musical energy but is tempered by more ambient/lush passages representing cosmic polarity and self-reflection.  Stellar Death leverage a plethora of influences, from old school death metal, modern post-rock, and various cinematic soundtracks to create a unique fusion of music that focuses on astronomical and philosophical themes.

Sentient (Chapter 1)  was recorded during the winter of 2021/2022 at House Nine and mastered by Greg Schwan at The Oak Lodge.  Band photo by David Wright.
