Mendel: Combining melodies, huge riffs and intricate details!
Mendel - Equilibrium
When the mastering Jens Bogren genius works with musicians he probably pick top notch musicians and music. Bogren have mastered the album Equilibrium from the band Mendel. That band is the brainchild for multi-instrumentalist Mendel Bij De Leij. Equilibrium is the fourth album by Mendel.
Inidual says, «Mendel excels at combining melodies, huge riffs and intricate details. Vocal-less, but more telling than most!» The debut album Subliminal Colors was released ten years ago. Mendel is definitely a phenomenal guitarist, and a fitting description is phantom guitarist!
Mendel is the solo project of Dutch guitarist Mendel Bij De Leij who has been active in the Holland metal scene for a number of years. He is known as the guitarist of Escadron, Bloodline, as well as being a former live member of Aborted and System Divide. In 2012, he set off on his own to record his first solo effort, titled Subliminal Colors, which combines his thrash metal roots with neo-classical and Symphony X-esque power/progressive influences as well.
