Sowulo: Created with (early) medieval and contemporary instruments

Sowulo - Æt Wega Ġelætan

Sowulo offers lyrics and the music, created with (early) medieval and contemporary instruments combined with cinematic sounds and voice, invoke archetypical wisdom and express the cyclical nature of existence. Sowulo share video for new single Æt Wega Ġelætan,

Standing at the crossroads, wanting to go in one direction but being pulled in another direction.

Whenever fate is pulling you into an unexpected direction, a path that you didn’t plan to take, it can be quite a shock. Feelings of resistance, doubt and fear can surface, but there is only one way to deal with this and that is to be courageous and wander forward into the unknown.

«We are all weavers of our own life paths. We all use the spindle to create our threads. To make our threads, we can pick the wool of our own choosing, or the one that destiny wants to hand us. Which one will you use for the tapestry of your life?’».

Lyrics:

Wyrd pullaþ mē

Ic wiðstande

Æt wega ġelætan spricþ twēona mid mīnre stefne

Wyrd pullaþ mē

Æt wega ġelætan ætbirst angnes fram mīnre brēoste

Wyrd pullaþ mē

Ond wilfullīce lǣte ic mē pullian

Æt wega ġelætan singe ic bealdnes tō mīnum fōtum.

Fate pulls me

I resist

At the crossroads doubt speaks with my voice

Fate pulls me

At the crossroads fear is being released from my chest

Fate is pulling me

And I willingly let myself be pulled

At the crossroads I sing courage into my feet
