Baptiste Brun self-taught musician born in Lyon influenced by many virtuoso guitarists Baptiste Brun begins his career as a guitarist and composer of the progressive metal band Stolen Memories he subsequently produced his first solo instrumental album Origin an ambitious and experimental work mixing various musical influences, all dominated by his guitar playing.

Origin is built around the number 8 (8 tracks, 8 strings and an 8 in the center of the artwork) which, in Chinese culture, is associated with prosperity. Orgin offers varied, compelling and interesting music with a fair amount of instrumental metal, shreds and more very nice atmospheric passage. Brun`s love for film music adds a symphonic felling, and his impressing use of 8-string guitar make it possible to explore new musical soundscape.
