Addikth: Groove metal with high temperature!
Addikth – Visions
Yes, rocks melt, but at high temperatures and pressures, and therefore the song Melting Stones is a real possibility!
Russian groove metal band Addikth released their new EP Visions, and this is an album with high temperature and right pressure! The release was recorded at Sirius Studios and mixed/mastered by Amin Shadmanov. The track Melting Stones,
Addikth was formed in 2011 by guitarist Daniel in Moscow, but active work was started only in 2017 when a permanent lineup was formed and the band released their debut EP “The New Sun and Against You All in 2019. In 2020 the band released their last single Crimson Sky. In space there are probably pathetic lumps of cosmic dust, but there are definitely a song with that name! The track Pathetic Lumps Of Cosmic Dust
Musical vector of Addikth is contemporary groove metal with some elements of adjacent styles showing the band as a disciple of the genre provided by Chimaira, Decapitated, Machine Head and Pantera.
Colorful monolithic riffs, powerful rhythm section, piercing vocals and almost industrial saturation with synths and samples – all these elements create distinctive sound, in conjunction with lyrics that metaphorically impose dark sides of our reality upon global cosmic and apocalyptic events.
The band delivers uncompromising aggressive forceful and possessing its own face and sound material which will appeal to those who appreciate the real music above trends.
Without falling into unnecessary eclecticism Addikth create songs which will equivalently be to the taste of old-school fans as well as more contemporary sound lovers
