Puscifer: Maynard`s Tool offshoot.

Maynard Keenan’s Tool offshoot (or one of them), Puscifer, have released two new remixes of Bullet Train To Iowa and The Underwhelming which you can listen to.

Lyrics on Bullet Train To Iowa:

Say bye bye. Kneel down, yield, pray, and kiss the ground.

Gonna be awhile before we touch back down.

Ain’t no turning back. Like a train sprouting wings, fuck the track. Hello, Sky!

I’m all aboard this surprise locomotion.

Oh my. Oh well. Guess I’d better just enjoy the ride.

My oh my.

Grinning & chatty tapestries and tile.

I’ll try to keep this conversation light. May be up all night.

I surmise there might of been Iowaska hiding in the water and wine.

Looks like I’m about to take the bullet train to Iowaska soon.

Well, all right.

Ride. Ride.

Choo Choo Choo

Animistical wayside Sabbatical.

Puscifer’s re-imagined version of The Underwhelming with James Iha is out now.

Parallel, this path you travel.

Similar, but far from equal.

Contentious glorious friction

awakens the cognizant and mindful.

Formative extreme conditions

tempering your will and way.

Mindful, now, of graceless dullards,

plodding through their vapid cabaret.

You were broken so

you have broken free.

Now you see right through the Kings New Clothing.

Vision and mission first. Serve your role by

shunning all the Underwhelming.

Like minds broken

Like minds breaking free

Now we see right through the Kings New Clothing.

Vision and mission first. Serve our role by

shunning all the Underwhelming.

Like minds broken

Like minds breaking free

The remixes, undertaken by Maynard’s A Perfect Circle colleagues Billy Howerdel and James Iha and are featured on a new limited edition seven-inch single which is available from the band’s website, US retailers and remaining g dates in the band’s current US tour.

Both tracks originally featured on Puscifer’s 2020 album Existential Reckoning.

«It’s always a pleasure hearing other artists’ voices over what we’ve created. I love these remixes», says Mat Mitchell, Puscifer songwriter and producer.
