Eating Cave: Don’t let it fly under your tech death metal radar.

I have as most people a dining room, but some obviously have an eating cave and this sound peculiar. The band Eating Cavefrom Virgina Beach is not peculiar, just very good and fascinating! Their crushing debut album is entitled Ingurgitate. The album is getting rave reviews from various publications and numerous peers, and is an essential listening for fans of The Faceless, Beyond Grace, Archspire, Fallujah, etc, so don’t let it fly under your tech death metal radar.

The album finds the four-piece employing a variety of structures and complex time signatures, striking a perfect balance of heavy, more mid-paced grooves and angular, frenzied rhythms full of unorthodox guitar riffs. Creative and musically complex throughout, Ingurgitate already exhibits an astonishing musicianship and intelligent songwriting skills.

«The Eating Cave are keeping it brutal while staying tech».

Tobi Morelli – Archspire

«If you like your death metal with some serious technicality and punishing groove, then look no further. Here is a band that can deliver both, and then some».

Sean Hynes – Ingested
