Ole Devil & The Spirit Chasers is blues infused rockn roll from Oslo, and these four is the band, Christian Håpenes Svendsen, drums, Artur Gosan bass, Ann-Christin Willumsen vocals and maestro, gitar player and lead vocal Ole Teigen. Their new album Apocalypse Blues is supported by Apollon Records and was relased 9 September 2022.

With a background from the Norwegian black metal scene since the 90 they have a much harsher and honest sound than the typical white man blues that you often connect with the genre today.

You know you gotta move your feet! You gotta step away from the evil ways of the world and into the music. By way of twisted rock and roll infused with inspiration from the original devil’s music, Ole Devil & The Spirit Chasers deliver their sophomore full length album. A ten track homage to the solace of music’s refuge. Influenced by the masters of blues like Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Howling Wolf, Willie Dixon and Robert Johnson. With deep roots in the Norwegian black metal scene, these twisted minds have fixed their focus on the inspiration from the nature of rock and roll, and later metal. Many times over the course of history the ancient voice of the human soul has been muted and banned by religious bigots and racists in power.

As the fury and revolt against this hypocrisy have subsided it is no longer a war cry, but an honest reflection of the life that storms outside of the refuge they create in the music. Songs about love, loss, lust and peril with the sounds of the true nature of the electrified human being. Complex, dark and playful. Sometimes heavy and hard, at others mellow. This psychedelic doomsday blues is here to take your sorrows away, not by hiding but with the magical light of transformation. You gotta be surfing the sulfur waves, on the hidden horrors of your own personal hell, you gotta do the devil dance.
