Messora: Beneath a golden sky.
Messora – Burn
Messora says, Messora from Montreal, Québec says,
«Follow
A sound tumultuous and sharp
Gushing endlessly from the lips of a chasm
Beckons incessantly the envious and the deceived
From a bastion just beyond a burning veil
What lies on the other side of The Door. Meet us on the other side of The Door».
My grandfather was a fireman, and the words burn and burning trigs the god memory for this excellent and very nice man. The new Messora single Burning taken from their new album Burn to be released 02:12:2022.
Lyrics:
Beneath a golden sky
Unearthed
And set to wander
Down a barren path
Aimless
Blind
Alone
Burning vessel
Beneath a searing sun
Blinded by the tree
Sunken by the lead
Bleeding for the creed
Entrapped
Circling
Myriad voices
Pulling
Tearing
Burning beneath a golden sky
Unearthed
At last
And set to wander
Down a barren path

Originally formed as a solo studio project in 2016, Messora has evolved into a band that obscures and challenges genres, while constantly and adamantly treading on new ground. Calling Messora a death metal band would be doing them a disservice given the scope and variety of sounds and influences at play. They simply strive to pursue the dark, wherever that leads them.
The band knows how to set themselves apart from others musically as well as aesthetically, with showmanship and presentation second only to musical performance during their live show. They demand attention with their presentation, but keep it with the strength of their performance and musicianship.
Messora released their debut album The Door in 2019 to widespread acclaim from fans and critics. After releasing their standalone single Forever As I Beg in 2021, the band are eager to present their new record Burn on December 2nd.
2 years ago Permafrost wrote about the track The Door the title track from the album The Door:
Unleashing the debut album The Door this past October, Montreal’s Messora are excited to share the new music video for the album’s title track. Produced entirely by the band and a group of friends, the conception and production of the video was a massive undertaking for them.
«It is a collection of imagery and aesthetics meant to reflect and enhance the sounds and themes of The Door. We are extremely pleased and proud to be able to share it today». says vocalist/guitarist Zach Dean.
Formed as a solo recording project in 2016 in Montréal, Québec, Messora has become a band that obscures and challenges genres. To the band, the music comes as what feels best in the moment. To the fans, it is a kaleidoscope of sound that appears different at every glance and to every eye.
Messora has been described as death metal, black metal, thrash metal, progressive metal, melodic metal, and doom metal by fans and showgoers. The elements that make up the music may seem familiar to some, yet the whole remains a challenge to define.
The band knows how to set themselves apart from others musically as well as aesthetically, with showmanship and presentation second only to musical performance during their live show. They demand attention with their presentation, but keep it with the strength of their performance and musicianship. Having shared the stage with bands such as Carach Angren, Mors Principium Est, and Wolfheart, Messora always delivers, visually, aesthetically and musically.
