Kalidia - The Frozen Throne

Kalidia from Italy plays power metal and their new album The Frozen Throne will be released on November 23rd. The quartet is inspired by classic power metal bands like Rhapsody Of Fire, Hammerfall and Stratovarius as well as new bands like Beast In Black. Kalidia have created an uplifting melodic power metal album with the roots in classic power metal with a modern and fresh touch.
Led by the charismatic vocalist Nicoletta Rosellini and with a really strong album behind them, Kalidia are ready to show the metal scene that they are a force to be reckoned with! Production and cover art is made by real talented artists, and it is always smart! The Frozen Throne was produced, recorded and mixed by Lars Rettkowitz (Freedom Call), mastered by Achim Köhler (Primal Fear, Amon Amarth, Brainstorm) and the cover artwork was created by Stan W. Decker (Vanden Plas, Primal Fear).
Kalidia was born in 2010 by an idea of Nicoletta Rosellini (Vocals) and Federico Paolini (Guitars), with the input of bass player Roberto Donato the band soon started to record its first EP Dance Of The Four Winds (2012) produced by Alessio Lucatti (Vision Divine, Etherna). The 4 tracks Ep was reviewed by several magazines and webzines, receiving extremely good response from press and fans all over the world. These results pushed the band to compose new material for a full-length album. In the meantime Kalidia continued to building up a strong reputation with its live activity.
Kalidia self-released their debut album entitled Lies’ Device, on 27th June, 2014. Recorded between August 2013 and January 2014 at Eden Studios, the album has been produced, mixed and mastered by Alessio Lucatti (Vision Divine, Etherna), featuring singer Andrea Racco and guitarist Alessandro Lucatti (both from Etherna) as special guests.In 2015/2016 the band continues its live activity sharing the stage with Rhapsody of Fire (as direct support), Vision Divine, Edu Falaschi, Kaledon, Mark Boals, Ancient Bards, SoundStorm, Serenity and more.
