Seven Steps To The Green Door: Intriguing storyline

TheLie? is the new record from Seven Steps To The Green Door and with good tradition there is many guest musicians. The new album is the fifth from SSTTGD, and once again proving that they are among the most innovative and creative bands in the genre. This time the band cooperate with George Andrade. The band was able to convince and win over a lyricist for the concept, who developed a compelling lyric book, with stirring and disturbing lyrics, out of Thoralf Koss’ story. To match the intriguing story line, some outstanding members of the prog rock scene were ensemble to take on the roles of the characters and to perform the instrumental parts.

Seven Steps To The Green Door was formed by keyboardist and saxophonist Marek Arnold from Toxic Smile, UPF, Flaming Row, Cyril and drummer Ulf Reinhardt. They released their debut album The Puzzle in 2006, a production that saw them awarded much credits.

Their second album Step In 2 My World was released in two years later, a production where the band explored more in depth the use of poly-rhythmic sounds, complex vocal harmonies and jazz-oriented instrument details in their compositions. But also an album with room for compelling compositions with more of a ballad-oriented expression.
