Schattenfall: From home of the brooks!

Several Neolithic stone cists are the earliest traces of humans in the area around the three brooks, Kollenbach, Lippbach and Siechenbach. Because of these three brooks, the town was eventually named Bekehem or later Beckum, meaning home upon the brooks. The atmospheric/ depressive black metal band Schattenfall is based in Beckum, Germany. In addition the band including musicians from Ukraine and Austria.

Schattenfall are back with their 2nd full length, Melancholie Des Seins. The album is a nice continuation and progression from their good debut Schatten In Schwarz. It seems as though there is a step up in every department on their latest offering, everything dialed up a notch creating an even more unique and intoxicating atmosphere. Schatten In Schwarz made a Metal Injection’s writer pick for Top Metal Albums of 2018. The new album comes on digital platforms and on Cassette and the marketing is from Redefining Darkness Records.
