Delerium - Urkraft

Ippesheim is a municipality in the district of Neustadt (Aisch)-Bad Windsheim in Bavaria in Germany. In addition the pagan black metal Delerium is from Ippesheim, and they have recently released their new album Urkraft. The band’s sophomore album combines the finest pagan metal with black metal chaos and rock riffs, featuring a lot of devotion for great melodies. Urkraft was mixed and mastered by Travos (Thormesis), who also contributed with some guest vocals. The title track Urkraft,
Delirium was founded in 2006 in Ippesheim in central Franconia. Initially settled in blackened death metal, they decided to play pagan metal through their burgeoning interest in paganism and mythology as well as getting to know new bands. In 2009, after a few line-ups, the first demo (Asatru) was released and offered for free download on the net. In 2011, a big dream came true in November. The first real album (Frankenblut) was produced on their own and then published in November 2011.
In March 2013, they returned to the studio to record 5 new pieces for the EP Das Erbe der Alten Zeit, which was released on 20.07.2013 on its own and in a limited edition of 166 pieces. Lyrical Delerium sings about mythological as well as Frankish legends and stories, as well as historical themes from home place.
