Francesco Carella with voice and keyboards, Giuseppe Quarta with drums and Giuseppe Cascarano with guitars. In addition as guest artists Elena Selleri and Mauro Bux with narration. Together they are the band I Viaggi Di Madeleine and they have decades of experience. After various musical experiences behind them, the three meet in Lecce, and in early 2015 the band was founded. I Viaggi Di Madeleine means Madeline’s Travels, and I Viaggi Di Madeleine is their self-titled debut album. The track Kamalaka, a song with suggestive atmospheres and sounds full of suspense, bring to mind very Goblian images.
The band’s musical influences are many, from experimental music, to hard rock, to progressive bands such as Le Orme, PFM, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Area, Goblin or British such as Genesis, King Crimson and Pink Floyd, until to get to the most current prog of groups like Porcupine Tree and Muse.
The band states, «We composed our music for the pleasure of it and it is obvious that our previous and different musical experiences have come together unconsciously in a progressive and psychedelic scenario. Our first self-titled album is the result of an experimental, but also conceptual approach to music, everything came out very naturally, even if there were objective difficulties in giving birth to and managing songs ranging from a minimum of about 9 minutes to a maximum of 13 minutes».
«Our music transcends reality and projects itself into surreal, dreamlike worlds, which in some way are the metaphor of the times in which we live. The epilogues of the stories we tell, most of the times are not rosy, even if characterized by flashes of light, messages of hope and human salvation».
