March 20 will the album Il Velo Dei Riflessi be released and the band behind is Quel Che Disse Il Tuono a new band from Italy. Il Velo Dei Riflessi will be followed by a promotional tour that is going to reach several countries in Europe and outside Europe. Quel Che Disse Il Tuono, whose name, meaning what the thunder said, is an homage to great poet and writer T.S.Eliot’s opera Waste Land. Eliot’s poem combines the legend of the Holy Grail and the Fisher King with vignettes of contemporary British society.
Quel Che Disse Il Tuono are a modern progressive rock act from Milano. They are deeply influenced by 70s international symphonic progressive rock yet also self-aware (and absolutely grateful!) of the big impact that Italian progressive rock and classical music have given to their sound.
Quel Che These Il Tuono are definitely influenced by many of the bands from the golden prog years. The new album has clear retro artifacts but still has enough distinctiveness and character to sound good. The band offers mystery, imagination, brilliant interaction, passion and imaginatively drained music.
Quel Che These Il Tuono was born in early 2019 when Francesca Zanetta (guitarist, add. keyboardist, cofounder and former member of RPI band Unreal City) teamed up with Roberto Berna Bernasconi (bass player and lead vocalist), Niccolò Gallani (keyboardist, flute player and add. vocalist, also member of Italian prog rock band Cellar Noise) and Alessio Del Ben (drummer, add. keyboardist and add. vocalist).
