With members residing in both Italy and Austria, Virial was formed in 2010 by brothers Christian Wieser (lead guitar) and Thomas Wieser (vocals/rhythm guitar). Soon after forming, the band would release a 3 track demo to introduce fans to their sound, and in 2015 they unveiled their debut full-length album Organic Universe. The 12 track album had a run time of over 40 minutes and was full of complex technical detail and intelligent songwriting.

The album was met with great acclaim from members of the press and from fans and eventually led to a record deal with Australia’s Vicious Instinct Records for the release of their sophomore album titled Transhumanism. The track March Of The Prometheus.  If you’re in the mood for crushing mid-tempo riffs and stomach-churning vocals, then you’re really going to dig this.

This new effort marks the debut of Philip Dollinger on bass and Stefan Rojas on drums, who along with the Wieser brothers have created a masterful death-metal album that will surely rival more seasoned death-metal bands either in terms of technical proficiency, intelligent song craft, or simple killer and brutal tunes.

This new effort was mixed at Mordor Sounds Studio by Hannes Grossmann and mastered at Woodshed Studio by Victor Santura and marks the debut of Philip Dollinger on bass and Stefan Rojas on drums, who along with the Wieser brothers obviously enjoy playing together.
