Orchestre Celesti: This is what would have happened if Keith Emerson and Herbie Hancock had a baby!
Orchestre Celesti – Anarchy
Federico Fantacone is the sole musician in the band Orchestre Celesti: and Anachy is the new album. Daveks Stunning, says, «a masterpiece. This is what would have happened if Keith Emerson and Herbie Hancock had a baby. All delivered to you in 24/48kHz files».
Two years after ContraXt, a predominantly orchestral album dominated by the Phygital Simphony suite for digital orchestra and Moog Grandmother, Orchestre Celesti are back with a completely different album!
Anarchy is the result of an accurate research of sound design, which built layers of electronic but emotionally significant environments around the original drafts (all conceived on the piano). The harmonies are sometimes inspired by the 80′ with extensive use of sequencers, other times by contemporary jazz with wide room for improvisation.
Anarchy is a long-running album, about 75 ‘, the result of two years of music composition and testing of new instruments.
It opens with a two-part suite, Hammers, which reflects the sadness and anxiety of the last two years of life dominated by the pandemic.
It closes with two tracks taken from previous albums but completely revised: one of the two, “The Carousel of Life” preserves the fundamental contributions by Phil Dolfini on drums (with different sounds) and Paolo Dolfini on synth (wonderful solo at the beginning of the song).
The cover is courtesy of Sergio Gatta, an interesting Italian painter, and sculptor, who has already loaned his works for the amazing covers of The Court Of Miracles Vol I and II.

The project Orchestre Celesti was born in 2006, and the idea of Federico Fantacone was to blend the stylistic expressions of typical Italian prog artists with the English 70’s variety, and to add innovation to this mixture by spicing it all up with contemporary electronic soundscapes. All compositions are instrumental, but sampled voices are used on occasion.
