Even Flow: Have created just such an uplifting sonic elixir of wonder.

Even Flow – Mediterraneo

Even Flow album Mediterraneo offers sublime Italian progressive metal.

In my dreams I can fly; shedding the chains of deceit that bind my spirit in darkness. I race beneath the sapphire skies over hillsides and forests, my heart laughing, singing, and bursting with beautiful adrenaline, infused with joy and exhilaration. Pain and regret lie abandoned in my wake and as the grasping hands of betrayal reach for me I dive beneath the waves, spiraling through the cool water, pierced by rays of brilliant sunlight. Here I find you, framed in sweet silence amongst the colors and the shadows, your arms open wide…and here I am free.

The finest music can touch our souls and set us free from the pressures and heartaches of our everyday lives. It can fire our imaginations and for the glorious minutes of its duration send us riding along slipstreams of melody and emotion. With their new EP, Mediterraneo, Italian progressive metallers Even Flow have created just such an uplifting sonic elixir of wonder. From the first notes of opening track, ‘Ocean Lies’, we are hit with a wave of positivity and excitement and carried away into a realm of cascading keyboards, soaring vocal lines and guitars that paint grand, enveloping landscapes.

Ray Of Light exemplifies the band’s ability to blend stellar musicianship with performances that radiate a powerful depth of feeling and song writing that entrances and captivates. Even Flow have achieved great critical acclaim for their previous albums, Ancient Memories (2011) and Life Has Just Begun (2017) and Mediterraneo is not only a fantastic collection of songs in its own right, but also a signpost to great things to come from this most accomplished of bands.

For over twenty years now Even Flow have thrilled fans with their music, both in the studio and on the stage where they have performed with everyone from Pain Of Salvation to Katatonia, Slash and Myles Kennedy to Firewind, Iron Savior to Dee Snider, Sebastian Bach and more. There is something in the music of Even Flow that speaks to metal and rock fans from across that vast spectrum, a magic that touches all who hear it. Mixed and mastered by Michele Guaitoli (Visions Of Atlantis, Temperance etc) each note of Mediterraneo shimmers and glistens and the stunning artwork of Mickael Briot Of Mythrid Art (Nightmare etc) sets the seal upon an utterly essential release. Coming your way on October 3rd, Mediterraneo will light up your world!

Even Flow is a progressive metal band that formed in the late 1990s by the brothers Pietro Paolo (guitar) and Giorgio (drums).

In 2008, the band released their first debut EP Dream Weaver, which continues to garner universal acclaim from fans and critics.

In 2011, the band returned to the studio to record their first album Ancient Memories that reveals a more mature and eclectic sound where Fabrizio Di Sarno joins in (Paul Di Anno and Angra) on keyboards and Jani Loikas (Nocturnal Winds) on bass.

The album has received positive feedback on the international scene, and, thanks to this, Even Flow have been selected from over 2,000 bands to participate in the final contest of the Sweden Rock Festival.

Ancient Memories was supported by a European tour that will include Italy, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.

The band was closing a wonderful year with a sold out show in their city in Sassari as a special guest of Blaze Bayley, the former lead singer of Iron Maiden.

2015 promises to be a magical year for the band because they will enter the studio to record their second Ep in a Flower Path acoustic key that will be joined by Mark Zonder, former great drummer of Fates Warning, Mike Lepond (bassist for Symphony X), and Matt Guillory (keyboardist for James Labrie’s  solo projects known for his participation in Dream Theater).

In the same year, in support of Flower Paths, the band wundertake several European tours in Italy, Austria, Switzerland, France, Germany, England, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, sharing the stage with Roberto Tiranti, voice of Labyrinth, for the only Italian date in the local cult Rock N’ Roll club in Milan and supporting it as a special guest for his WonderWorld with Ken Ingwersen on guitar and Tom Arne Fossheim on drums: a super band that he supports on world tours, Uriah Heep’s founder Ken Hensley.

At the end of a superlative year, the band was invited by Orphaned Land as the opening band, consolidating seven sold out concerts through Aix-en-Provence, Lyon, Lille, Manchester, London, and Paris with double sold out.
